1. General introduction:
 

The art of seal-carving first arose in China. When coming to Việt Nam, it was only used by the king and mandarins in feudal system. Hồng Lục, Liễu Tràng, two ancient village in Hai Duong started their carving and printing on wood and stone in the 10th century. At the   end of the 21th century, the printing materials and carving techniques had changed, artisans moved to other provinces in the country to expand the career.

Located in Hàng Quạt street, one of Hanoi’s ancient street specialized in selling Hang Trong paintings with items used in funerals and weddings and religious occasions was the seal-shop of brothers Phạm Minh Thiện and Phạm Đức Trí, where visitors can find artistic, traditional atmosphere and exquisite design styles. Name of the customer and animal are carved on a rough or square wooden piece skillfully.
 
2. Founders’ history:
 
Artisan Phạm Minh Thiện, born in 1970 in Hanoi, graduated from Hanoi National University of Civil Engineering in 1998. With basic knowledge about fine-art, graphic design and along time researching about Vietnamese ancient art of graphics (woodblock prints, stamp, religious wooden decorations, …), he has bravely applied both traditional and modern motives in his handicraft wooden stamps, which has created a unique style.

Artisan Phạm Đức Trí, born in 1972 in Hanoi, graduated from Hanoi University of Foreign study and Commercial University. Together with his brother, he has spent a lot of time researching and studying about the art of wooden carving. His fluency in speaking English, Japanese and Chinese and knowledge of different cultures has made his career go further and brought the liveliness and soul to his works of name stamps in Latin, Hiragana, Katana, Kanji characters.
   
Phạm Minh Thiện and Phạm Đức Trí are the 4th generation in his family, who inherited the Phuc Loi trade-mark (since 1923). Beside the products which can be used in reality, other products have had the honor to take part in some artistic activities such as Japan-Vietnam Exhibition and Exchanging activity of traditional handicraft artists in 2003 and calligraphy Exhibition of 28 young calligraphers (2006). With experience handed down from ancestors, over 15years of practical activities and good studying method, their products are adored by customers from all over the world. They chose their products as unique gifts from Vietnam.
 
 
3. Introduction of Vietnamese seal from the past to products of the shop:

- In old certificate and materials from the old feudal state.
- Dong Ho, Hang Trong folk woodblocks
- Charms and religion seals
- Seals in Chinese characters (names, poems)
- Animal statue seals, plans and designs
- Seals of Latin name and ornamental design.
